This footrace, which also includes a non-competitive walk, is a 7-kilometer race which, as the name suggests, turns around Monte Titano.

The race starts (and finishes) at the iconic city gate, built in chiselled grey stone.

The race follows an itinerary that winds through the streets of the old town and then gets to the road at the foot of the peaky rock.

The event has an interesting story too. The whole idea goes back to more than forty years ago, when someone bet that he could run the whole distance up to that Stradone, where the race takes place even today.  After that, more people joined and the number of participants increased.

The Tour of Mount Titano is organized by the Track & Field association and it is open to any athlete interested. The race includes a refreshment point on the route, and one after the finishing line. The best three male, female and group positions will be rewarded (all teams must be composed of at least 3 components without limit on the number of members for each team).
